Curriculum

We provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the

participating children to meet the State's student academic achievement standards.  All texts meet California Standards.

Paradise Elementary meets or exceeds the state requirements to update textbooks by the required dates.  Teachers

and administrators meet to discuss the different textbooks that are available for every subject matter. The staff

determines which text best fits the needs of our students. The 2008-2009 mathematics adoption is Houghton Mifflin

for K-5 and Holt for 6-8.  Houghton Mifflin is also the text for our Language Arts program for K-5.  Our upper grades

use Prentice Hall for both Language Arts and Science.  The staff is evaluating a new writing curriculum  in an effort to
